The Ruby Young Elementary Medical & Environmental Sciences Magnet Academy gives students the opportunity to study relevant concepts related to medical and environmental sciences. Campus aquaponics and the student garden are just a few of the hands-on engaging opportunities given to students. Through project-based learning, students learn the natural environment of the world around them and how to preserve and protect its rich natural resources. The Ruby Young Medical Magnet introduces students to themes and studies in health, wellness and modern medicine. These initiatives are supported by local community health partners such as Charlton Methodist Hospital. At Ruby Young Medical magnet program, emerging doctors and medical practitioners are able to pursue their dreams in the health care or environmental fields, providing unforgettable experiences needed to save lives of the future.
