The DeSoto High School STEAM Academy supports the Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways; STEM, Information Technology, Health Sciences, Automotive/Aviation, and Agricultural Sciences. CTE and A2E2 work in a collaborative effort to increase college and career readiness through experiential learning experiences and internships/externships. We also offer PSAT/SAT/ACT/TSI preparation, student development opportunities, and parent engagement functions. The DeSoto High School STEAM Academy allows students to receive certifications and earn college credit through dual credit courses offered in the CTE pathways. Students are engaged in Problem Based Learning (PBL) which allows students to solve real world situations of today’s ever changing society as well as local problems within their community. These experiences will foster global scholars, ready to conquer problems of the 22nd century. These real world skills coupled with their experiential learning experiences will make their dreams a reality and prepare them for their future.
The application process is open December 15, 2020 though January 31, 2021.
